      UI Designer Interview

      14 June 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I interviewed at iBaby Labs in June 2017

      I applied online.

      Interview

Applied online, received a respond one day later, was invited to an in person. I expected to meet with the hiring manager, however, when I arrived, the plan was changed and I was interviewed by the front desk (yes, the front desk) and a marketing person. The job posting mentioned they were looking for someone to redesign the UI of their apps, but in the interview, when I asked them what were the major responsibilities, they said "it's up to you!" Then they kept talking about designing marketing materials and social media. I also asked what's the work style here, the marketing person said "it's up to you!" again, triumphantly. It's very unprofessional, I wouldn't say this is a hard interview, however this startup is not for me.
