      Principal UX Designer Interview

      3 June 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at iHeartMedia in May 2019

      Interview

After being forgotten about by the recruiter, we had to reschedule the initial phone screen, which resulted in an actual interview by the VP, which went well, but didn't drill far enough into my Human Factors experience. So we set up a follow up interview with the UX Manager. However, no meeting invite was sent so the interview started late, then the interview went downhill soon after due to a series of communication application failures. By the time we squared those away, there was simply no time to squeeze in any type of useful information that would showcase my 15+ years of knowledge and experience. Really, 30 minutes is not sufficient time to address complex thinking in any kind of depth. Let alone 15 rushed minutes.

      Question 1

Wanted to understand the research process and how I arrived at my design decisions.
