I applied online. I interviewed at iRhythm Technologies (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2021
Interview
Interview was for the system engineer intern position. Had a good conversation with the interviewer who was the hiring manager. Mainly asked more detail about the experiences I had listed on my resume and some generic questions.
I had interviewed with them for another position a while back and both of the times, they failed to get back to me. For this position, when I emailed the hiring manager for an update, an hour later, I get a generic email from the recruiting team. The person did not even bother to send me a personal reply which sucks and shows me that maybe they don't value people much. Because I did have a good conversation and it's not like the person didn't like me (apparently, at least).

Interview
After 3 rounds of interview with HR, Manager, and then a whole 5 hr panel interview I got ghosted. It was a complete waste of time and honestly I'm surprised at the audacity of a company to ghost a candidate. The very least you can do is send a rejection email. I followed up 2x after this via email with no response from the 2 hr people included on the initial email. The job posting was reposted 3x after my interview. I already had a bad feeling when I saw that the job posting was up for 60+ days when I asked HR about it they made the excuse that they couldn't find someone and that it was weird to them cause no one was qualified.
The other role I applied for asked for some engineering question to be answered and expected candidates to spend a day to write up an essay to respond "if we really wanted the job". Unprofessional of HR to laugh and say I also have homework for you. When I have been a working professional for multiple years, not a student.
