I applied online through my university. First there was a brief 30 minute phone interview followed by an in-depth hour plus interview with three other managers. There is also an online application.

General Resume Questions
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at iRobot (Bedford, MA) in May 2018
Interview
Very odd experience overall. I applied for a role that was a bit outside of my qualifications knowing that it would be a stretch, the recruiter reached out to schedule a phone interview very shortly after. In the interview we discussed my qualifications and she recommended another role on the team that seemed to be a better fit. I was clear in saying that it would still require me learning some new tools, but she said that would be fine.
I was then brought in for a round of in-person interviews with the team. The first person (besides HR) who I met with was someone more junior who was frankly so awkward that it made the conversation painful for me - It was full of those canned interview questions and she would just rattle off the next one after my reply rather than having a normal conversation. The rest of my chats with more senior members of the team were much more normal and enjoyable.
I left feeling pretty good about the role but got a call a few days later saying the team loved me but found someone with more experience in the platform that I told them frankly I had no experience in. At the time, I found this reasonable but was a little confused why they wasted my time bringing me in if that was such an important requirement of the position. It's now been a few weeks and the role is still open so there I'd question their honesty overall.

First round was a quick phone interview with marketing manager going over basic skills and requirements. A few days later, I had an interview in person with the same manager. Overall a great experience.
