I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at iSeeCars in May 2022
Interview
I found the job post on Indeed and applied. I heard back within a week from the CEO, who was the one leading the hiring process. I had a 30 minute video call with him and the CTO, where they described the company and asked about my experience - a mix of technical and behavioral. A week later, they invited me to an hour call with them plus a current data scientist. This was almost all technical, with questions about Bayes theorem (describe it), machine learning (how would you select features and measure performance), and programming. A week after that, they emailed me with a case study to evaluate my programming skills (since my main language is not their main language). It was a fun project, but only because I had time -- if I was in a stressful week it would have been too much for me. I completed this and ~3 days later they emailed me back to "talk about next steps". This was about a half hour video call with the original two interviewers, in which they talked about the company for 25 minutes before extending an offer. They gave me time to ask and then answered all my questions. If I had to start over again, I would bring up my salary and WLB expectations and near the start of the interview process.
