Interview
It started well. I was contacted by the recruiter and we scheduled a call to discuss the role. We had a positive conversation and the next step was to get feedback from the hiring manager. Initially this was due a couple of days after our call, but it was delayed, and I was contacted to say it would be likely the following week - fair enough. The next week came and went and I received no contact whatsoever. I sent a message asking if there was an update on my application, to which I received no response for 2 working days. I then receive a message apologizing for the delay and asking if I was available for a call the next day, to which I replied confirming my availability. I received no call for the following 2 days.
At this stage, I think it is fair to say that I have been 'ghosted'. It is not acceptable to treat candidates like this, especially after you have engaged with them. I was excited about the role and would have appreciated knowing the outcome of my application sooner.
