The process took 3 days. I interviewed at indie Semiconductor
Interview
TLDR: Random interview with random questions. The culture of the company seemed a bit off. I wouldn't recommend it even though the company seems like it has some potential. The interview was pretty easy but gave me a really negative impression of the company. As for the content of the interview, it was pretty normal. Regular embedded software questions. However, it was obvious that the interviewers didn't have any plan because they were asking random unconnected questions. There were two interviewers. One was a nice person who looked a little bit in a hurry even before the interview started. Maybe it is just my impression but he seemed like he had too much work to do and was all over the place. The other interviewer was not so good. He asked questions in a very weird way. He seemed like a good programmer without much experience but with too much ego. Some kind of personality to be avoided. If he behaves like this in an interview imagine on a day-to-day basis. The interaction with this engineer was an absolute no-go for me. Please take this feedback as constructive criticism. The company has the potential to attract talented people. I hope my review helps you.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at indie Semiconductor (San Jose, CA) in June 2024
Interview
First had a screening round on call. After that, I was invited to their office in San Jose for in-person interviews. I had 3 rounds back to back which were 45mins each. First was a live coding round which I didn't do that well. After this, I had an interview with a senior engineer. This was about coding as well but writing the logic was sufficient. This round went well. Third round was with the Director. We had a good chat, I explained my work and we discussed about the previous rounds I had.
