This was quite an unusual product interview. The organization didn't quite understand product management, nor did they have any clear goals for the role. Not only was their product and business strategy unclear, they didn't know how to assess PMs.
The take home task was to create a 12 month roadmap, without any clear direction. They literally were looking for a 12 month roadmap and didn't seem to understand the product process to get there. After all this in the final round a Co-CEO shows up 7 mins late to a 30 min interview and asks "What is a product?". I thoughtfully answered this lazy question, and asked her the same back. She fell flat on here face and started describing her own product. I couldn't hide my disapproval.
Overall, it seemed like a dead-end org with no clear product strategy or defined goals.
