      I applied online. I interviewed at meldCX in Jan 2022

      I applied through LinkedIn Job and got a reply that they want to test my technical skills by creating a REST Api that that has File sharing features that not only works with local storage but also with GCP. I first replied them that the test would require some significant hours at my end, so needs to know what are the steps of their recruitment and I what is the salary they are are offering for this position? The HR replied me that after this test, their will be a Cultural Fit interview and then an Interview with their technical lead and another with the CTO and they are okay with the salary if they find my work and experience matches with it and asked me I can send them what I am expecting. I replied my salary would depends on the whole package but it will not certainly be less than "X" amount of money. Then I got an reply that the salary I mentioned is bit high but they are okay with it, I completed the test and send the URL of GitHub repo of the implementation. Then I was asked for the cultural fit interview, but in the mean time in the mail exchange I learned that they are starting their operation in my country with a joint venture of a local company, my initial understanding it was a remote job offer since they are not originated here. During the cultural fit interview they also included the local representative. The interview was about my background and I was offered whether I am okay to lead their local team and whether I am okay to work from onsite office which was affirmative from my side but I clearly mentioned these are two new things so I have to revise my salary that I initially mentioned. The rest of the discussion was who will be ultimately paying my salary the local company or them because it an important issues for my local laws and based on this discussion it was decided I going to send them a figure that in my local currency. Obviously It was bit higher that I asked initially and also have to take the omicron into consider as I have to commute at least 5 days a week. And One more important thing I raised during the cultural fit interview that the comments of their past employees in the Glassdoor and it surprises me that the HR woman never heard of it even Glassdoor. After a day I got the rejection email that I was not successful for the next step of the recruitment without mentioning a single reason to turn me down. my realization: 1. They are looking for people in Bangladesh that is low in cost of what they are spending in Philippine and that was not my case. I should read the Glassdoor reviews prior going so far. 2. They just want to implement some of their tasks without spending a single dime in the name of recruitment.
