I applied online. I interviewed at nd-Insight in Aug 2019
Interview
It was a phone interview and the interviewer sounded bored the entire time. He said he was looking for someone with an advanced science degree, but did not seemed to know what a research-based thesis was.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at nd-Insight (Toronto, ON) in June 2019
Interview
One phone interview, In-person Case interview, and Managing partner lunch. The phone interview was standard experience questions. In-person case interview was a mix of behavioral and experience questions followed by a one-hour data analysis case (review this infographic and pull out 6 themes). Partner lunch was informal (Saturday) and he did most of the talking. The role is heavily weighted towards researching.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Favorite book, favorite movie. Tell about a time: under pressure, did research, delivered a report, worked with clients, etc.
One of the interviewers was extremely rude and obviously has no respect for people. The person was extremely arrogant and already had pre-conceived views about everything. I've never met a more condescending person in my life. I really wondered whether this firm has any sort of culture or respect for its employees. It was a horrible experience, and I should never have interviewed. I've gone through several stress interviews in my life and this wasn't a stress interview, this was just one person out to humiliate a job-seeker.
