The interview process was straight-forward and clear from the start that there would be multiple interview rounds and that other people were being interviewed for the role. The first round was a screening call with a recruiter.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe what you think the role of a Product Manager is.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at optile in Feb 2019
Interview
Interview consist of 3 steps: HR, Technical task, On-site interview.
I did task during the weekend and after I received negative feedback about it I was very surprised since all functionality was there (mandatory, optional) plus additional.
I asked for a feedback since I spent time on it and would like to understand at least what is wrong.
Not only I received meaningless response but it came after 2 weeks (!!) I've asked:
"We reviewed your profile and task and we found other candidates who showed better technical skills and were more suited for the position."
Very negative experience, if engineers are doing task evaluation their feedback is based on something, it is fair to pass it back since people are spending time on the task.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at optile (Munich, Bavaria) in Oct 2018
Interview
The Interview Process was challenging and well organised, even it took a bit more time than I expected. Everybody was very friendly and helpful, I was provided with all the information needed for preparation of test task and all interview stages by recruiting team. The last stage was smth like "getting to know me", which is good idea for a company, so they have a chance to understand how the person "suit" to the company, values etc, along with understanding applicant's skills. And it was useful for me as an applicant, cause I had a chance to meet a lot of people from the company and get familiar with some of the processes before starting the job. When I actually got the offer I was invited to the company party, so more networking before the first working day. Cool right?)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There were a lot of different questions, so it is difficult to choose just few of them. I was asked about myself, my interests, my education, work experience and so much more. There were a lot of practical questions related to particular tasks which I may face in future on this position, which obviously required more time.
Dear Colleague,
thanks a lot for sharing your experience on our interviewing process, we are really glad that you find it well organised and challenging.
Best regards,
