I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at the LEGO Group (New York, NY) in Feb 2014
Interview
It was pretty straightforward, very welcoming and fun. What they want to see during the interview is that you want to work for Lego (as opposed to just working in retail), that you would be knowledgable and excited about products, that you have enthusiasm for anything you talk about, and that you would be reliable and easy to work with.
I applied online. I interviewed at the LEGO Group (Lone Tree, CO) in July 2025
Interview
Sat down and discussed what the role entails, a background of the store itself and what average hours looked like. Then went into further questions about my qualifications and how it would be beneficial to the store.
The interview was a typical one, where questions of how you have interacted with children included, which was different but expected from a store such as this one. I really enjoyed the conversation and the way they handled the interview.

Something along the lines of: “how have you interacted with children before?”
