I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at the LEGO Group (Billund) in July 2024
Interview
The process began with a virtual interview with a recruiter. This was mostly me introducing myself, and I feel this was mostly a filter for the less serious applicants.
Then I had a virtual interview with my to-be boss and a couple others including a colleague from the team. This was a chat and less technical focused and more about me as a person.
Finally, the in-person interview in Billund. I was given a "case" to prepare before the interview. Then we discussed this case with the hiring manager, a lead engineer and another senior engineer. This was also very good, but perhaps it wasn't too clear how long one should spend preparing the case.
Other Senior Software Engineer interview reviews for the LEGO Group
one round of HR (around lego, your experience just normail stuffs), take home assignment - code exercise , discussion around the assignement, then team fit with three people, overrall it's good, but no offer.
I interviewed at the LEGO Group (Copenhagen, Capital Region)
Interview
Short interviews. Focused on cultural fit. Tests related to ability to perform job description and personality, and peer interviews to get to see if you would work well with those people
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at the LEGO Group (Copenhagen, Capital Region) in Feb 2025
Interview
Half an hour interview with a very nice recuiter (that was engineer previously, so we could go into deeper disscations).
Then technical interview where we discussed my background. Again nice people with positive attitude.
Then home task that I've been told should take no more than 8 hours :), tbh, I consider to quit the process :o
Then last interview is the toughest one, where I presented my presentation on the solution of the home task, and was being questioned about it.
All along the way all the people I met were very nice, with positive attitude.
