I was approached by the recruiter. After discussing my experiences and project, the recruiter scheduled the first round in the next week. Recruiter was very nice, tried to communicate what the team was looking in the candidate.
First Round: Worst interview experience so far. The interview revolved around deep understanding of JS concepts. I think the interviewer was taking the interview from a cafe. We starting with videos on but within 5 mins, we started facing connectivity issue. Then we tried to continue with only audio. Still there was a lot of disturbance from the other end. I have to listen very hard and carefully to understand the question. Sometimes guess the questions with only the few words I could gather. I communicated this to the interviewer. Still the interviewer just kept shooting questions. Was not letting even 30seconds to pause and understand the question properly. I couldn't ask to repeat each line again and again.
Just a total waste of time. Never ever applying to upGrad again. When it is expected from the candidate to follow some general rules for the interview like- Sitting in a quiet and properly lit place. The same should be expected from the interviewer, however experienced he/she must be.
