vTech Solution interview questions

The recruiter who initially reached out to me was nice. I was then made to speak to a secondary person at vTech (also a recruiter?). The man grilled me on why I want a contract position instead of a full time (strange?). He then asked me how long I would like to stay in a contract position- I answered and said 1 year (the length of the contract I was applying for) and that then after that I would see what my next opportunity was/That I was open to anything afterwards. I guess this was the wrong answer because the guy VERY abruptly and rudely cut me off and was like "Alright! Thank you! That's all!" It was as if he didn't want to spend even another second on the phone with me. He told me he would be putting forward my resume to the client. Then I never heard from him again.
