I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at volpe (Cambridge, MA) in Mar 2023
Interview
Applied in October, interviewed in March once, got conditional in April, completed background check, fingerprints, general HR paperwork, and started working in May. Process overall easy, but time consuming. Not too sure if your people that were vouching for you and how quick they filled out survey/answered call affected speed of overall background check. All references I put down were contacted. Not reimbursed on fingerprints, but negligible in long run of your base salary. Starting salary base is dependent on education level and previous equivalent work/skills.

Question 1
What skills/experiences do you have and how would it apply to the job?
Many people on the interview. Some technical transportation references but very few. Mostly situational questions and individuals seemed engaged and interested in learning more about my experience. It was overall a very positive interview experience.
