ACR Group was in the cool business of climate control. The company was wholesale distributor of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) equipment and supplies made by more than 150 different manufacturers, including CertainTeed, Honeywell, GE, and Johnson Controls. It sold the products mainly to contractors and dealers responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial HVACR systems. ACR operated about 55 distribution centers in nearly 10 sunbelt states, including three of the largest HVACR markets: California, Florida, and Texas. Founded in 1990, the company was acquired by Watsco in 2007.
