It's not going out on a limb to say that The Branch Group has paved a lot of roads and built a lot of structures up and down the Atlantic Seaboard. The company, through its subsidiaries, provides heavy/highway construction (Branch Civil), building construction (Branch Builds), and mechanical/electrical construction services (G.J. Hopkins and LA Lacy). The group has paved roads for highway departments, built hospitals, schools, factories and infrastructure projects. The employee-owned company began in 1963 as Branch & Associates, Inc., but traces its roots to 1955, when Billy Branch and C. W. McAlister paired up to provide road and site construction services.
