It primarily serves the small and medium-sized business markets. The retailer has more than 1,000 franchised locations across the country, but also sells its products via catalog and on the Internet. The company, founded in Rome in 1853 by Giovanni Buffetti, began as a typography firm. Italian yellow page publisher Telecom Italia Media bought Gruppo Buffetti in 2000.
