Belgische Scheepvaartmaatschappij, which does business as CMB (Compagnie Maritime Belge), provides dry cargo transport and other marine shipping services. Founded in 1895 and based in Belgium, the company operates primarily through subsidiary Bocimar International (dry bulk cargo including coal, iron ore, and grain). The Bocimar fleet consists of about 20 wholly or partially owned Capesize, Handysize, and Handymax vessels. CMB's Holding division includes Reslea (real estate joint venture) and Hessenatie Logistics (logistics sector). Through a joint venture with Belgium investment bank Petercam, it also owns ACL Aviation, which operates a fleet of 50 aircraft used for both cargo and passenger transport services.
