Caron cares -- about addiction to drinking and drugs. The Richard J. Caron Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that runs clinical treatment centers for substance abuse in Pennsylvania, New York, Florida, and Bermuda. It tailors its services gender specifically (under the idea that men and women respond to treatment differently) and serves adolescents, adults, seniors, and families. The foundation offers addiction assessment, as well as residential treatment, extended care, and outpatient counseling. To complement its medical and psychological programs, Caron offers self-development workshops and pastoral services for those wanting to participate in meditation, journal writing, and other exercises.
