The Colibri Group is counting on jewelry always being in style and its brands becoming household names. The company sells men's and women's jewelry (necklaces, bracelets, lockets, earrings, pendants, cuff links), pens, money clips, timepieces (watches, clocks), cigarette lighters, and accessories worldwide. Its brands include namesake Colibri, Movado, Dolan Bullock, Krementz, Darling Diamonds, and Seth Thomas. In mid-2005 The Colibri Group was acquired by a trio of investment firms, including one in China and Fred Levinger, who with his father bought the company in 1971, when it logged less than $2 million in sales. Thomas Bendheim joined the firm as its president and CEO in December 2005.
