Many sports injuries put players on RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) and CoolSystems helps serve up two portions. The company's Game Ready products provide active compression and adjustable cold therapy to treat bruises, sprains, and other muscular injuries. The device consists of a control unit that pumps cold water to a fabric wrap that provides intermittent pressure to injured areas. Used by professional and school sports teams, the system is also used for post-surgical recovery and has been adapted for veterinary use. CoolSystems is also marketing the ReBound heat therapy system developed by ReGear Life Sciences. NASA spacesuit designer Bill Elkins founded the company in 1998.
