Founded in Melbourne in 2006, an exceptionally talented team of engineers, technicians, designers and artisans set a new benchmark for animatronics with each new project. Combining state-of-the-art technology with artistic mastery, Creature Technology Co.’s expertise ensures live experiences inspire wonder and awe in audiences worldwide.
Previous creations include the jaw-dropping dinosaurs for Walking with Dinosaurs –The Arena Spectacular; the three remarkable mascots for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies, the incredible King Kong for the Tony award-winning Broadway musical and most recently, the incredible animatronic dinosaurs and dragons in Universal’s brand new Beijing theme park.
Other awards won include: 2019 Drama Desk Award Winner for Outstanding Puppet Design (USA), 2019 Outer Circle Critics Special Achievement Award (USA), 2018 Manufacturer of the Year (Medium Business) Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards, 2016 Australian Engineering Excellence Award, 2014 Australian Export Award, 2014 Governor of Victoria Export Awards, 2014 Green Room Award, 2013 Helpmann Award, 2008 Pollstar Concert Industry Award (USA), 2008 Billboard Touring Award (USA), and 2007 TEA Award (USA).
Creature Technology Co. is a unique organisation that is an engineering company, manufacturer, software design firm, puppet-maker, artist’s studio and entertainment creator all rolled into one. The successful candidate will work in a stimulating and dynamic environment designing and constructing the world’s best large-scale animatronic creatures in our Port Melbourne headquarters for export to an expanding global market.
