Description Whether it's cross country or downhill, this butte is made for skiing. Crested Butte is a leading Colorado ski operator that owns the Crested Butte Mountain Resort within the Gunnison National Forest and the Elk Mountain Range. The ski resort offers more than 1,100 acres of skiable terrain, 16 lifts, and a full range of accommodations and amenities. Crested Butte has hosted such events as Colorado's first X Games, the US Extreme Freeskiing Championships, and the Elk Mountain Grand Traverse. We are open for full summer operations to cater to guests enjoying all the season has to offer including our legendary Mountain Biking terrain. We focus heavily on trying to create a work environment where people want to return to the company season after season.
