Daisy Manufacturing, the world's oldest and largest maker of pellet and air-powered guns, ammunition, and accessories, aims to please. The company produces the Red Ryder BB gun (more than 9 million sold since its debut in 1938), plus air rifles, pistols, CO2 pistols, slingshots, and branded apparel. Its products are sold at online retailers, gun dealers, and sporting goods stores such as Bass Pro Shops and Dick's Sporting Goods. Founded in 1882 as the Plymouth Iron Windmill Company, Daisy's first air gun was introduced in 1886 as a premium for farmers who purchased windmills. Charter Oak Partners owns a majority interest in the company.
