Description Davis Vision makes vision care coverage its daily chore. The firm is a vision insurance provider that serves about 16 million eye plan members through employer client groups. The company operates across the US through benefits contracts with companies, government agencies, unions, and insurance companies. In addition to covering eye exams and eyewear, Davis Vision offers discounted laser vision-correction surgery. Its centralized laboratories fill some 6,000 custom ophthalmic orders daily. Davis Vision also provides customers with a mail-order contact lens replacement service called Lens 123. The company was founded as a family optical business in 1917; today it is a subsidiary of Highmark.
