Description Bringing democracy to the world of news? Can you digg it? Digg Inc. lets users submit and rate their favorite news stories online. The company's user-submitted news site Digg.com operates through the efforts of its community of users, who vote on what news, videos, images, blogs, and podcasts of the day they think are important. The site also has social networking features that allow users to share news and view what friends are reading. The company was founded in 2004 by Kevin Rose, a former producer and host at TechTV (the precursor to G4 Media's G4 TV). Investors include Omidyar Network (led by eBay co-founder Pierre Omidyar), Netscape co-founder Marc Andreessen, and Greylock Management, among others.
