Description The global economy is all about ebb and flow. And EEB, or the Bureau of Economic, Energy and Business Affairs, makes sure the US is on the right side of the flow. The bureau develops and implements US foreign economic policy and tries to reconcile America's economic interests with its foreign policy. It works with the WTO and the IMF to negotiate trade agreements, combat bribery in international business, help debtor nations, and coordinate economic sanctions. Its five units include Energy, Sanctions, and Commodities; International Communications and Information Policy; International Finance and Development; Trade Policy and Programs; and Transportation Affairs. EB is part of the State Department.
