Thank you, SCE Forestry team. The team’s collaborative efforts with CAL FIRE and local Fire Safe Councils paid off in battling the 60,000-acre Garnet Fire in the Sierra Nevada. The Lost Bluff Fuel Break (a section of land where vegetation and combustible material have been removed) helped slow the fire, protecting Shaver Lake, the Dinkey Creek community and iconic sequoias. Camp Edison also served as a base until the blaze was contained on Sept. 12. The site provided crews with a place to rest, shower and refill engines using lake water. Our team also supported firefighting efforts by supplying maps and equipment, including bulldozers, to help crews access roads and critical forest areas....Show more
