Description David McDavid Auto Group sells plenty of horsepower in the Lone Star State. The company, a subsidiary of Asbury Automotive Group, is one of the largest vehicle vendors in Texas, with nearly 10 dealerships in Austin, Houston, and the Dallas area. David McDavid Auto Group sells new Acura, Honda, Lincoln Mercury, and Nissan brand vehicles. It also sells used cars, provides parts and service, and offers financing. The company was originally named for its founder and former CEO, David McDavid, who started his first car dealership in 1962 at age 19. McDavid sold the company to Asbury in 1998.
