Biocon Biologics today spans 100+ countries and is headquartered in Bangalore, India, which is where our roots began 45 years ago, when a passionate young woman entrepreneur side-stepped tradition to become India’s first female brew-master (pursuing it as a career in biotechnology), and then set up a factory against the odds to manufacture high-quality enzymes for global export.
Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw leads the Biocon Group to this day, and has since created and developed three independent, science-anchored companies under its wings – Biocon, Syngene, and Biocon Biologics (BBL).
At BBL we leverage cutting-edge science, innovative tech platforms and advanced research & development capabilities to lower treatment costs while improving healthcare outcomes. Intentional curiosity and an innate entrepreneurial scientific spirit fuel our strong research pipeline of biosimilar molecules across diabetes, oncology, immunology, and other non-communicable diseases.
