Eagle Comtronics provides traps, filters, and other equipment for cable TV service providers. The company's cable products include devices used to scramble pay TV signals, making sure that only paying subscribers will get certain services from their carriers. It sells such other cable hardware as channel combiners and signal conditioners. Eagle Comtronics also sells radio-frequency filters (surface mount, bandpass, and tubular) used in telecommunications and military applications, and it provides contract electronics manufacturing services. Eagle was established in 1975 by Al Devendorf, a former General Electric engineer who started the company in his basement. The Devendorf family owns Eagle Comtronics.
