Automation is the name of ENGEL's game. The company is one of the world's largest manufacturers of injection molding and plastics processing machines, with nine production plants in Europe, North America, and Asia, and subsidiaries in 27 countries. Among its products are machines designed to process elastomers or rubber compounds, which are used for sealing, sound proofing, and shock absorbing. ENGEL serves five main industries: automotive (instrument panels), packaging (buckets and CD/DVD cases), medical (syringe parts), teletronics (cell phone parts), and technical molding (screwdrivers, shower heads, and gardening tools). The company was founded in 1945 by Ludwig Engel and is still 100% family-owned.
