Evening Post Publishing is a leading regional media company with newspapers and television stations in about 10 states. The company owns more than a dozen papers serving mostly small markets in North and South Carolina; its portfolio includes The Post and Courier in Charleston, South Carolina, with a circulation of almost 100,000. Evening Post Publishing's TV holdings include more than a dozen stations, including a group of CBS affiliates in Montana. The company also publishes Garden & Gun magazine and operates online news sites for most of its papers. The family-owned media business was started in 1894 by Robert Smith Manigault.
