Part of Hearst Newspapers, the San Antonio Express-News is one of the leading daily newspapers in Texas and a mainstay source of news for the southern region of the state. The paper boasts a daily circulation of more than 200,000 and operates bureaus in Austin and Laredo, Texas; the Rio Grande Valley; and Washington, DC, as well as in Mexico City. In addition to its print edition, the San Antonio Express-News operates news and information Web portal mySA.com in cooperation with KENS-TV (owned by Dallas-based Belo Corp.). The San Antonio Express-News was founded in 1865 and was acquired by The Hearst Corporation in 1993.
