Mission Be a trusted support when life gets tough. All people. Any time. Every time.
Description Foundation 2 Crisis Services was founded in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1970 as a volunteer crisis phone line. Since then, we have grown to become a nonprofit of more than 150 full and part-time employees providing 24/7 crisis services across Iowa.

Our services include crisis phone, text, and chat; in-person mobile crisis outreach; an emergency youth shelter; school and community-based youth services; law enforcement co-responder mental health services; support for young people aging out of foster care, and more. We help individuals and families in crisis more than 80,000 per year across Iowa. Our services are free, confidential, and available to everyone.

As an employer, we focus on providing a forward-thinking, employee-centered, supportive workplace environment. We prioritize mental health, a positive work/home balance, and flexible opportunities to help you feel comfortable in your role. Benefits include generous time off, mental health days, paid parental leave, wellness benefits, flexible benefit dollars, pet insurance, and more. Regular, full-time employees receive a fixed amount of benefit dollars per month that can be used for health insurance plans or paid as taxable income.
