Description General Technology Corporation (also formerly known as Crane Electronic Manufacturing Services) provides contract manufacturing of printed circuit boards, cables, wire harnesses, wired chassis, and mechanical enclosures. The company also offers engineering, outsourcing, recruiting, and testing services. It caters primarily to customers in the military and defense markets, helping them manage their maturing computer systems and programs; its products are also used in aerospace and medical applications. General Technology was formed in 1999; Crane Co. acquired the company in 2002, and sold it to IEC Electronics Corp., a New York-based circuit board manufacturer, in 2009. The deal was valued at over $14 million.
