Goldshield Group wants to make your health golden. The drugmaker manufactures over-the-counter vitamin supplements and medications for a variety of ailments, including joint and heart health, skin care, menopause, and weight loss. It distributes its medicines primarily through mail order channels. Most of Goldshield Group's business is conducted in the UK, but it also ships products to international customers. The company was founded in 1991 by the Patel family. Company executives won a bidding war to buy up the company in 2009; the management buyout transaction was completed in 2010 in partnership with UK private equity firm HgCapital.
