If business or pleasure calls for you to fly into the biggest city in Texas, you'll likely land at a facility overseen by the Houston Airport System. The agency manages three airports -- George Bush Intercontinental (IAH, the largest of the three), William P. Hobby (close to downtown), and Ellington Field (a former military base still used by the National Guard) -- that together serve more than 50 million passengers annually. The Fresh Air Cargo center at IAH is recognized by the US government as a Certified Cargo Screening Facility. Houston Airport System is part of the City of Houston's Department of Aviation. IAH will serve as the hub for United and Continental Airlines when they merge.
