Healthcare Management Systems (HMS) keeps community hospitals technologically healthy. The company's information management software is used by more than 650 community hospitals across the US. Its IBM-based clinical and financial management programs are also used by behavioral health care organizations, rehabilitation facilities, and long-term acute care hospitals. The company offers wireless, electronic forms, and other technologies designed to make doctors' jobs easier; software for managing ancillary services such as blood banks, laboratories, and pharmacies; and software for practice management, home health, and long-term care providers. HMS was founded in 1984.
