Heat Pipe Technology (HPT) believes that it's not the heat, it's the humidity. The company makes dehumidifying heat pipes for use in commercial, industrial, and institutional HVAC systems. Heat pipes increase heating and cooling energy efficiencies by up to 50%. HPT also makes packaged dehumidifiers, pool dehumidifiers, and combination cooling coils. The company has served clients around the world, including the US military and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Former chairman and majority owner Khanh Dinh founded HPT in 1983, thanks in part to a grant from the US Department of Energy. Building components manufacturer MiTek Industries acquired the company in 2009.
