Mission Our mission is to work in partnership to achieve the best outcomes for the people we support.

We do this by putting people at the centre of everything we do. We work collaboratively with them to provide services that are creative, innovative and sustainable.

Our specialist teams use their skills and expertise to deliver services to people including those with the most complex of needs.

We are passionate about what we do.
Description We are a national charity founded in 1962 by a group of families with a vision for creating a better life for their relatives who had learning disabilities. We pioneered the idea that everyone could have choices about how they live.

Today, we are trusted to support more than 2,500 people across England and Wales, from living independently in their own home, to day opportunities; from a few hours a week, right up to 24 hours a day.

We are funded in two ways: through local authorities, who fund vital support services, but also through donors, supporters and volunteers who enable us to find new ways to help more people to thrive rather than just get by.

For some people we support, we provide round the clock support; for others it may be a question of helping with specific challenges such as building a social life or developing skills for independent living. For every person we support, we are committed to working with them to realise their best life possible.
