Hong Kong Polytechnic University equips its students with skills -- not to mention degrees. Formerly known as Hong Kong Polytechnic and assuming full university status in 1994, the school offers a variety of academic, master's, and doctoral degrees in multiple fields. Academic programs include applied sciences and textiles, business, communication, construction and land use, engineering, health and social sciences, and hotel and tourism management. The university also provides consulting services to the public and private sectors as well as professional training and applied research services.
