International Datacasting Corporation (IDC) is a manufacturer of hardware and developer of software used to enable broadband satellite connections. Products include satellite receivers, satellite broadcasting systems for digital audio, and content distribution software. The company is also a systems integrator and a provider of data broadcasting services. Established in 1984, IDC serves customers in such industries as broadcasting, education, entertainment, and telecommunications, including Cinedigm, NPR, and PBS. While it does nearly half of its business in North America, the company is active in Europe through its Netherlands-based PROFline subsidiary. IDC has distributors and resellers around the world.
