Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ) operates in the Land of the Rising Bandwidth. IIJ provides Internet access and related services such as data center operations and systems integration, mainly for large corporations. Subsidiaries include IIJ Technology (corporate networks), Net Care (support services), IIJ Financial Systems (security systems), and others. IIJ America serves US arms of Japanese corporations, while IIJ Global Solutions provides wide area networking (WAN) and other outsourced network services domestically. Founded in 1992, IIJ operates one of Japan's primary Internet backbone networks, as well as a major Internet backbone connection between Japan and the US.
