Kryptiq doesn't want health care communications to be cryptic or confusing. The company provides middleware software that is used by customers (primarily health care providers) to integrate and manage workflows and information. Kryptiq's products incorporate secure messaging, electronic prescribing, disease management, and contract management technologies. More than 30,000 physicians use the company's Connect IQ software. Customers include MedStar Health, Providence Health System, and Village Health Partners. In 2009 the company sold its Choreo software suite to Portico Systems. Founded in 2001, Kryptiq counts Shelter Capital Partners, SmartForest Ventures, and Voyager Capital among its investors.
