Link2Gov makes tax season a little easier on the taxman. Founded in 1995, the company provides electronic payment processing and e-commerce development services for federal, state, and local government agencies throughout the US. Link2Gov develops government portals that use Internet and interactive voice response systems to automate the payment of traffic and parking citations, issuance and renewal of drivers' licenses and vehicle registrations, issuance of fishing and hunting licenses, dissemination of government alerts, operation of surplus auctions, and many other government transactions. Link2Gov, acquired by Metavante in 2005, now is a subsidiary of Fidelity National Information Services (FIS).
