The picture-perfect Masterfile Corporation is a stock photo agency with nearly 2 million images available online. Masterfile offers rights-managed (one-time use) and royalty-free (unlimited use) photographs and illustrations to advertising agencies, graphic designers, print and Web publishers, and other media artists and companies. Images are available for download through Masterfile's online search engine, Endless Media. Photographers receive a 40% royalty from Masterfile every time their images are used. The company is headquartered in Canada, but half of its sales come from Europe. Founded in 1981, Masterfile agreed to be acquired by Arius3D Corp., a provider of scanning and imaging equipment, in mid-2011.
