Description McMillan (previously known as McMillan Binch Mendelsohn) helps define the borders between Canada and the US. The law firm advises American companies on Canadian tax laws, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and competition and antitrust laws. Other practice areas include banking and finance, corporate restructuring, employment, public policy, real estate, and litigation and dispute resolution. Clients have included Royal Bank of Canada, DuPont Canada, and Toronto Hydro. McMillan has about 190 attorneys. It was formed in 2005 by the merger of Toronto-based McMillan Binch and Montreal-based Mendelsohn. It shortened its name in 2008.
